Technical Positions at ICMR- Regional Medical Research Centre, Port Blair

The following positions at the ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre in Port Blair are open for applications:

1. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT: 1 st class three years Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the recognized University
2. TECHNICIAN (4 Posts): i) 12th or Intermediate pass in science subject with 55% marks and ii) At least One year Diploma in MLT from govt. recognized institution
3. LABORATORY ATTENDANT: i) 10th pass with 50% marks in aggregate from recognized board and ii)One year working experience in a govt. recognized/ approved /registered lab

Conditions to apply: 1) The candidate interested to apply for the post of Technical Assistant, Technician-1 and Laboratory Attendant-1 should submit duly completed application form in all aspects attached with the advertisement. Candidate has to fill all the columns in the application form and should write ‘NA’ in respect of columns which are not applicable or irrelevant to the candidate. Advertisement No.:01/2023, dated 03.07.2023 2 2) Application form may be downloaded from the websites http://www.rmrc.res.in/ and https://main.icmr.nic.in/ 3) The candidate interested to apply for different posts should submit separate application form for each post. 4) The duly completed application form along with relevant self-attested documents and non-refundable application fee in the form of Indian Postal Order/Demand Draft of `300 (Three Hundred only) payable at Port Blair should be sent in a sealed envelope cover super scribing “Application for the post of….. (name of the post) to “The Director, ICMRRegional Medical Research Centre, Dollygunj, Port Blair-744103” through speed post/Registered post (applications by hand will not be received) latest by 06/08/2023. 5) SC/ST/PwD and women candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee. 6) The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the last date of receipt of applications i.e 06.08.2023 for all the posts. 7) Age relaxation up to 5 years for Scheduled caste (SC) and up to 3 years for Other Backward shall be allowed as per DoPT guidelines. Candidates belonging to SC/OBC should furnish their certificates in the prescribed format, failing which, their applications will not be considered. 8) Age relaxation up to 5 years for Group ‘B’ post and up to 40 years for Group ‘C’ posts are allowed to the Government servant shall be allowed subject as per DoPT guidelines. This concession is admissible to such of the Governments servants as are working in posts which are in the same line or allied cadres and where a relationship could be established that the service already rendered in a particular post will be useful for the efficient discharge of the duties of posts. 9) The Government servant willing to apply for the post should submit their applications “THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL”, only, failing which their application will be merely rejected.
