Recruitment on Direct Basis by Indian Coast Guard

Indian Coast Guard is inviting applications from individuals for the following positions on Direct Recruitment Basis:

1. Store Keepers Grade-II: Eligibility Criteria:
   • Essential:- (i) 12^th Pass from recognized Board or University. (it) One year’s experience in handling Stores from any recognized firm or Central or State Government Organization or Public Sector Undertaking.
2. Engine Driver: Eligibility Criteria:
   • Essential:- Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized Boards. (ii) Certificate of competency as Engine Driver from a recognized Government Institute or equivalent.
   • Desirable:- (ii) Two years service as Sarang on a Vessel of over four hundred Boat Horse Power.
3. Motor Transport Driver: Eligibility Criteria:
   • Essential:- (i) 10th Standard pass. (ii) Must possess valid driving license for both heavy and light Motor Vehicles. (iii) Should have at least two years experience in driving Motor Vehicles. (iv) Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).
4. Carpenter: Eligibility Criteria:
   • Essential:- Matriculation or equivalent (di) Should qualify a trade entrance examination. (ji) Should have successfully completed apprenticeship from a recognized/ reputed workshop in the relevant trade under Apprenticeship Act 1961 or under any other recognized Apprenticeship Scheme. OR Should have completed training course in the relevant trade from an IT recognized for this purpose and have 1 year trade experience. OR 4 years experience in the trade for which no training is available in the Industrial Training Institute or other recognized institutions.
5. Multi- Tasking Staff: Eligibility Criteria:
   • Essential:- (i) Matriculation or equivalent pass. Two years experience as Office Attendant.
6. Lascar First Class: Eligibility Criteria:
   • Essential:- (i) (it) Matriculation or equivalent pass. Three years service on a Ship or Craft.
7. Multi-Tasking Staff (Sweeper/ Safaiwala): Eligibility Criteria: Essential:- Matriculation or equivalent pass. Two years experience in cleanship in any recognized
